God meets you where you are
God meets you where you are
"I'm the God of Bethel where you consecrated a pillar and made a vow to me. Now be on your way, get out of this place, go home to your birthplace.'"(Gen.31.13)
God first introduced himself to Jacob in Genesis 28. He had just received the blessings of Abraham from his father Isaac and as he was running away from Esua his brother, God appeared to him. But then he went on to work for his uncle, who became his father-in- law, even though God was still with him, there was no fellowship with God and as a result no intimacy.
So when God needed him to move back home, God showed up and reintroduced himself to Jacob saying 'I'm the God of Bethel where you consecrated a pillar and made a vow to me.' this shows us that there was no relationship, no fellowship, that was why God was telling him where they met and how they met and how Jacob consecrated a pillar to Him.
God wants not just a relationship but a fellowship with you. Relationship plus fellowship results in intimacy. Jacob, as well as you, are crucial to the plans of God so He requires the level of intimacy that will enable you fulfill His plans. He is willing to meet you where you are so that intimacy can be cultivated. Constant fellowship create that intimacy. Studies shows that "when a person studies God's word at least four times a week, the person has 228% chance of sharing their faith, 407% more like to memories scriptures, 59% less likely to view phonograph and 30% less likely to struggle with loneliness, depression and anxiety... “
So what are you waiting for? God is waiting for you and ready to meet you where you are.
Good day,
Have a great day today,
