Stay on the mandate

Stay on the mandate

"Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land."(Exod.8.25)

The enemy will try to trick you into believing half truth or do something other than what God has instructed you to do, do not fall for it. Pharaoh had spoken to Moses and asked him to "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land". This sounded almost like what God had said to them but it was not.

Thank God for discerning men like Moses who quickly spotted the difference. He refused and said, "It is not right to do so..."

"And Moses said, "It is not right to do so, for we would be sacrificing the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God. If we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, then will they not stone us?" (Exod.8.25)

For if they had done as Pharaoh asked, it would not have amounted to sacrificing to the Lord in the wilderness. So Moses said:

"We will go three days' journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the LORD our God as He will command us." (Exod.8.27)

It must be as He has commanded or as He will command. We cannot do it the way we think is right but as God has commanded or as He will command. Doing it as we think as against as God will command was the sin of Uzzah who did not only try to help God but also put the ark of God on a new cart (see 2 Sam:6. 6-7)

We must stay on the mandate. What God has commanded it shall be forever. Listen to what He is saying and stay on the mandate.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
Emmanluel Okoro,
