Surely this thing is known 

"Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, "Why are you striking your companion?" Then he said, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" So Moses feared and said, "Surely this thing is known!" (Exod.2.11-14)

Moses sets out to stand up for his brothers in slavery and in doing that, he killed an Egyptian who was oppressing an Israelite. This throws up that factor in human nature that thinks, for and against, them versus us. 

You would think because so and so is not with us, therefore is against us. You would think that an Israelite would not oppress an Israelite. You would think that it is only an Egyptian that would oppress an Israelite. But not only does this text tell us otherwise, experience tells otherwise too. You would think that only white would oppress black, rich will oppress poor, men will oppress women. But remove one of the factors from the equation and oppression would still exist. It is as though, we will find what or who to oppress. Strong would rise and oppress the weak. 

Moses did not think that an Hebrew should oppress a fellow Hebrew. We could take this to tribes against tribes etc. But it is just purely against human nature to be oppressive. 

Treat every one you meet with respect. Honour them and they will most likely honour you in return. Sow a smile and you will get a smile back. We have too much outside forces militating against us, we must not also join in that fight. We can do better. Will you do better this year? Do better because this thing, surely is known. Whether it is good or bad, it will be known. Better it is good so that when it is known, you would be proud of yourself. Nothing you do is hidden. Be better, do better. We...better.

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem

Jesus is the answer to the sin problem  "When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's". (1John.1.2 MSB) When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the sin passed through them to all men. And so the Bible recorded that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Rom.5.12)  But that was just the beginning of the story. Sin entered the world, and death came as a result of sin. It appears that mankind was doomed.  But Jesus came and served the punishment for sin and in so doing, He solved the sin problem for good. Now mankind has access once again to the Father. Now everything the Father has for us is at our disposal. "Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind. The reason why the Apostle says here that he quiets being a 'law man' but instead became God's man "What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work.
