We need to believe to know

We need to believe to know

"GOD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea and the waters will come back over the Egyptians, over their chariots, over their horsemen." Moses stretched his hand out over the sea: As the day broke and the Egyptians were running, the sea returned to its place as before. GOD dumped the Egyptians in the middle of the sea." (Exod.14.26 - 27 MSG)

We need to believe to know but a lot of us want to know to believe. When Israel was before the red sea, they believed what God had said to them but after hey crossed the sea on dey ground, they knew what it was God said. Little Wonder, as God commanded Moses to stretch his rod the second time to bring the red back on top of the Egyptian, he did in the very next verse. Why? Because now he knows.

We need to believe to know but a lot of us want to know to believe. This reaffirm the assertion of our Lord Jesus Christ when he told Thomas that it is better to believe before you see instead of seeing before believing.

"The other disciples told him, "We saw the Master." But he said, "Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won't believe it." Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, "Peace to you."Then he focused his attention on Thomas. "Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand and stick it in my side. Don't be unbelieving. Believe." Thomas said, "My Master! My God!" (John.20.25 - 28)

May we believe enough to see

Good day,
Have a great day today,
