Good eyes

We cann ot overemphasis the importance of the eyes to the body. Jesus said that the eyes is the light of the body and that if your eye is single your body is full of light but contrasted it with when the eye is evil, the body is full of darkness. 

"The light of the boady is thze eye: therefore when thine eye is is singles, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness." (Luke.11.34) 

Jeremiah the prophet also talked about the eyes. When God asked the prophet what he saw and the prophet declared what he saw, God affirmed it, saying "Good eyes". 

"GOD's Message came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah and h?" I said, "A walking stick--that's all." And God OD said, "Good eyes! I'm sticking with you. I'll make every word I give you come true." (Jer.1.11 - 12 MSG) 

Meanizsng God wants us to have good eyes, God wants us to see things the way He sees things. God wants to to have a the God-perspective to the matters of life. 

Our text talks about the fact that good eyes are corrupted by bribe. Good eyes are blinded by bribes. That means when a person collects bribe, not that he can no longer see but that the person chooses not to see. Little wonder a lot thing are getting from bad to worse right under the watchful eyes of the people who are meant to make them go right. What set of eyes do you have? Can God affirm that your eyes are good? Do you see as God sees? Do you have good eyes?

Birthright for sale

Birth rights for sale  "One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, "Give me some of that red stew--I'm starved!" That's how he came to be called Edom (Red). Jacob said, "Make me a trade: my stew for your rights as the firstborn." Esau said, "I'm starving! What good is a birthright if I'm dead?" Jacob said, "First, swear to me." And he did it. On oath Esau traded away his rights as the firstborn." (Gen.25.29-33).  Life has taught us to trade what we have for what we want or need.
