Work six days 

"Work six days and do everything you need to do." (Exod.20.9) 

Work six days and do everything you need to do. Work is very important to God. A lot of people say they are looking for work, but really, what they are looking for is not work but money. Why do I say that you may ask. I say that because everywhere you look there is work. Work is anything that betters the earth, that improves on what God has done. 

The illustration of God not giving us furniture comes in handy here. God gave us trees. Man takes the tree and makes furniture out of it. That is work. Every endeavour or professiob of man, should be geared toward the betterment of the earth. If all your work gives you is money, then you are not achieving your potential yet. Your work should better the earth. And by the earth, I mean everyone in it. 

So God says to the children of Israel, six days you are to work and do all that you need to. 

What is your work? Work is deeper than just a job. God did not give Adam a job in the Garden of Eden, He gave him work. Adam's work was to replenish the earth amongst other things (see Gen.1.26-29)

There is no one who engages in a productive venture for six out of the seven days of a week that will not be impacting his world. See a man diligent in all his ways, that man will not stand before mere men but before King. (see Prov. 22.29)

Prov.22.29 - Observe people who are good at their work--skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don't take a back seat to anyone.

Work... Work is good... You need to work.

Birthright for sale

Birth rights for sale  "One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, "Give me some of that red stew--I'm starved!" That's how he came to be called Edom (Red). Jacob said, "Make me a trade: my stew for your rights as the firstborn." Esau said, "I'm starving! What good is a birthright if I'm dead?" Jacob said, "First, swear to me." And he did it. On oath Esau traded away his rights as the firstborn." (Gen.25.29-33).  Life has taught us to trade what we have for what we want or need.
