Dressed, anointed, ordained and cobsecrated

Dressed, anointed, ordained and consecrated

"Dress your brother Aaron and his sons in them. Anoint, ordain, and consecrate them to serve me as priests." (Exod.28.41)

God has a systemic order in place. Someone has said that He is a God of plan, purpose and design. He is not reactionary, but always active.

In our text we see how He purposes for Aaron and his sons to take office. First they are dressed. We talked about that yesterday and how we should put on  Christ.

Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about!" (Rom.13.14)

But He does stop there. He went to say after we have put on Christ, such that when the people see us, it is Christ they see, then comes the anointing. It is anointing that enables us...to be, to have and to do all God has commanded us. Then comes ordination - simply put, it is the recognition of the anointing that is on your life. It is saying that we recognise God's graces and abilities working in and through you. And then comes consecration - it is setting apart wholly for service.

Are you dressed in Christ? Have you put on Christ? That is the first step leading to being consecrated, being set apart for what God has in stock you.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
Emmanluel Okoro,
(aka Mr. Lift)
