GET Started

Get Started

"On your feet now. Get started. Cross the Brook Arnon. Look: Here's Sihon the Amorite king of Heshbon and his land. I'm handing it over to you—it's all yours. Go ahead, take it. Go to war with him." (Deuteronomy 2:24)

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is this: more is lost through indecision than through wrong decisions. A wrong decision at least teaches you what doesn’t work, but indecision traps you in the same place—stalled, stagnant, and stuck. Not choosing is still a choice, and it often leads to missed opportunities.

Israel spent thirty-eight years circling the same mountain, comfortable in the familiar but far from their destiny. Then came God’s word: “On your feet now. Get started.” Those words carried urgency—an instruction that delayed obedience could easily slip into disobedience and apathy.

Indecision is subtle. It disguises itself as carefulness, as second-guessing, as self-doubt. But in truth, it robs us of progress. God’s call is not “later,” but “now.” Rise. Move. Begin.

What dream have you been postponing? What assignment have you shelved out of fear or hesitation? Is it writing that book, starting that business, launching that podcast, or taking a bold step in a relationship? God’s word to you today is clear: “On your feet now. Get started.”

The beauty of this command is that God does not send you empty-handed. He goes before you. The land has already been handed over; the victory already secured. Your part is to start.

You may not know every step, and you may not see the end from the beginning—but you will never know what God can do through you until you obey the first instruction.

On your feet now. Get started.

Have a fruitful day,
