The Man Showed Them a Way In

The Man Showed Them a Way In

"The man showed them a way in. They killed everyone in the city but the man and his family." (Judges 1:25)

You need someone who has gone where you want to go to help you get there. You need someone to show you the way. No one succeeds alone; no one is an island. The Bible says the man showed them the way into the city. Their success was connected to a man who knew the way.

Is it possible that you are still struggling and groping in certain areas of life because there is no one to show you the way in? The place of mentors, helpers, and destiny partners cannot be overemphasized. Moses raised Joshua, Samuel guided David, Jesus mentored the twelve disciples, and Paul mentored Timothy. The question is: Who is mentoring you? And who are you mentoring?

The spies might not have entered the city if not for that man. His knowledge became their access. In the same way, God often positions people in our lives to guide us, open doors for us, and show us the way forward.

Psalm 105:17 says, “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant.” God sends people ahead of us and places people around us for our help and progress.

This is one reason we must treat people well. You may not know who God has placed around you that will show you the way into your city.

Reflection
Many times we pray for open doors, but God answers by sending people. Destiny helpers, mentors, teachers, friends, and even strangers can become the key to our next level. We must be humble enough to learn, wise enough to recognize them, and kind enough to treat everyone well. Your “way into the city” may be in the hands of someone God has already placed in your life.

Prayer
Lord, open my eyes to recognize the people you have placed in my life to help me grow and move forward. Connect me with the right mentors, helpers, and destiny partners. Make me also a helper to someone else. Teach me to treat people with kindness and wisdom, knowing that you often send a man before a breakthrough. Amen.

Have a fruitful day,
