God Knows

God Knows

"The angel of God appeared to her and told her, ‘I know that you are barren and childless, but you’re going to become pregnant and bear a son.’" (Judges 13:3)

God knows exactly how deeply your situation affects you. He knows where the pain lies, where the burden presses, and where the tears come from. Nothing about your struggle is hidden from Him. The question is not whether God knows, but whether you will trust Him through it.

In our text, the angel appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “I know that you are barren and childless.” That was not new information to her. She lived with that reality every day. She did not need anyone to remind her of her pain. Yet God mentioned it so she would understand that Heaven had not ignored her condition. God was saying, “I see you. I know your story. I understand your pain.”

But the angel did not stop there. God did not only speak about her problem; He also spoke about His solution: “You’re going to become pregnant and bear a son.” God always has the final word over our situations.

Sometimes when we pray, we spend all our time repeating our problems to God. But God wants us to stand on His promises and speak His Word back to Him. His Word carries greater authority than our feelings, fears, or circumstances. The Bible says, “By His stripes we are healed.” It says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong,’ and the poor say, ‘I am rich.’” These are not empty confessions; they are declarations of God’s reality over our lives.

Your situation may look stronger than the promise right now, but God’s Word is more real and more enduring than what you are facing. Choose to proclaim His Word above your circumstances.

If God knows and you know His promise, then you already have a foundation for faith. Stand on His Word. He knows.

Reflection
Faith is not pretending the problem does not exist; it is believing that God’s promise is greater than the problem. God acknowledges our pain, but He also points us toward His solution. When we hold on to His Word, we move from despair to expectation.

Prayer
Father, thank You because You know me completely and You see every burden I carry. Thank You for not ignoring my pain and for already having an answer prepared for my situation. Help me to trust Your Word above my fears and circumstances. Strengthen my faith to stand on Your promises even when I cannot yet see the outcome. Let Your truth fill my heart with hope and confidence in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a fruitful day,
