It's Time To Make Your Move

It's Time to Make Your Move

Hook
Many dreams never die because they are impossible—they die because someone never took the first step. Fear keeps asking, "What if I fail?" Faith asks, "What if God goes before me?" Every breakthrough begins with a move.

Scripture

"And isn't Boaz our close relative, the one with whose young women you've been working? Maybe it's time to make our move. Tonight is the night of Boaz's barley harvest at the threshing floor." (Ruth 3:2)

Explanation
Naomi recognized that the season had changed. Ruth had worked faithfully in Boaz's field, but now it was time to move from waiting to acting. She could not remain in the same place expecting a different outcome.

There are moments in life when planning must give way to action. While wisdom calls us to prepare, faith calls us to step forward. Ruth and Naomi had no guarantee that Boaz would respond favorably. He could have said no. Yet they understood that unanswered possibilities remain unanswered until someone makes a move.

Many people are trapped by negative "what if" questions:

✅ What if I fail?

✅ What if I'm rejected?

✅ What if I don't measure up?

But faith asks better questions:

👉 What if I succeed?

👉 What if this is God's appointed time?

👉 What if this step opens the door to my destiny?

The four lepers understood this principle when they said:

"Why sit we here until we die?" (2 Kings 7:3 KJV)

They moved despite uncertainty, and God turned their step of faith into a miracle.

Application
Is there a dream you've been postponing because of fear?

Perhaps it's time to:

♦️ Start that business.

♦️ Launch that ministry.

♦️ Apply for that opportunity.

♦️ Reconcile with someone.

♦️ Write that book.

♦️ Take the course.

♦️ Make the phone call.

Don't allow the fear of hearing "no" to stop you from discovering God's "yes." Every great testimony begins with someone willing to take a faithful step.

Reflection
Faith is not the absence of uncertainty; it is the courage to obey God despite uncertainty. The greatest risk may not be failure—it may be never trying at all.

Prayer
Father, thank You for the opportunities You place before me. Give me the courage to move when You say it is time. Remove fear, replace hesitation with faith, and help me trust You with the outcome. May every step I take in obedience bring glory to Your name and lead me into the purpose You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Discussion Question
What move have you been delaying because of fear, and what practical step can you take today to move forward in faith?

Have a fruitful day,
