How long does it take God to change a life? Sometimes what seems impossible for years can be turned around in a single season. One encounter with God can rewrite a lifetime of disappointment.

Scripture 

"Before the year was out, Hannah had conceived and given birth to a son. She named him Samuel, explaining, 'I asked GOD for him.'"(1 Samuel 1:20 MSB)

Explanation
For years, Hannah carried the pain of barrenness. Her situation had become so prolonged that it defined her identity in the eyes of others. Yet God was never limited by the length of her waiting.

The turning point came when Hannah stopped focusing on people and turned wholeheartedly to God. Instead of wearing her pain before men, she poured out her heart before the Lord. God heard her sincere prayer, and before that year came to an end, the impossible had become reality.

This reminds us that God does not need years to accomplish what only He can do. When His time comes, long-standing problems can receive sudden answers. Jesus reinforced this truth when He said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7).

Application
What are you trusting God for today? A breakthrough? Healing? Restoration? Direction? Don't let disappointment drive you away from God. Let it draw you closer to Him.

People, even with good intentions, have limitations. God has none. Instead of placing your hope in human strength, place your confidence in the One who never fails. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. Your timeline may not be Hannah's, but God's faithfulness remains the same.

Reflection
The length of your waiting is not a measure of God's ability. One moment of divine intervention can accomplish what years of human effort could not. Trust Him, pray sincerely, and expect Him to act in His perfect time.

Prayer
Father, I bring every desire and burden before You. Help me to look to You instead of depending on people. Strengthen my faith as I wait, and let Your perfect will be fulfilled in my life. May my testimony bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind.
