God Saves

God Saves

Don’t let your calculations put a limit on God.

Sometimes we look at what we have—or don’t have—and conclude that God cannot do much with it. But God has never needed favourable numbers, perfect conditions, or overwhelming resources to save.

Scripture

“For there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few.”(1 Samuel 14:6 KJV)

Explanation
Jonathan understood something that we often forget: God is not limited by numbers.

Israel had an enemy to confront, and Jonathan did not have a massive army behind him. Yet he said, “It may be that the LORD will work for us.” His confidence was not in the size of his army but in the unlimited ability of God.

God can save by many, and He can save by few. He can work through what looks like abundance, and He can work through what appears insignificant.

Our calculations do not define God's possibilities. Our strategies do not restrict His power. God is God, and He is not intimidated by what intimidates us.

The Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6). Faith does not make God powerful; faith positions us to trust the God who already is powerful.

Application
Stop measuring what God can do by what you currently have.

You may have few resources, few people, little experience, or limited opportunities. That does not mean God is limited.

Take God at His Word. Do what He has instructed you to do, and leave the outcome to Him.

Never put God in a box because of your calculations.

Reflection
What limitation have you placed on God because of what you can see?

God can save by many. God can save by few. God can save.

Prayer
Lord, forgive me for limiting You by my calculations and circumstances. Help me to trust Your Word, step out in faith, and believe that You can work through what I have. May I never measure Your ability by my limitations. Amen.

Discussion Question
What situation are you facing right now where you need to stop calculating and start trusting God?

Have a fruitful day,
