Help Is on the Way

When the enemy wants to humiliate you, remember this: help is on the way! Your situation may look hopeless, but God has not turned a blind eye or a deaf ear to your cry.

Scripture

“Saul instructed the messengers, ‘Tell this to the folk in Jabesh Gilead: “Help is on the way. Expect it by noon tomorrow.”’ The messengers set straight off and delivered their message. The people of Jabesh Gilead were elated.” (1 Samuel 11:9)

Explanation
The people of Jabesh Gilead were facing a terrible threat from Nahash the Ammonite. He offered them a humiliating condition for surrender: every man would have his right eye gouged out.

But when they cried out for help, God responded through Saul. Saul sent them a message that changed everything: “Help is on the way. Expect it by noon tomorrow.”

What looked like the end became the beginning of their deliverance.

Sometimes, the enemy's goal is not only to defeat you but to humiliate you. But when you call on God, He can raise help from an unexpected place and turn your situation around.

Application
If you are facing a difficult situation today, call on God. Don't allow fear, shame, or the appearance of defeat to convince you that God has abandoned you.

His Word assures us that He hears when we call. Even while we are still speaking, He is able to answer.

You may not know when your help will arrive, but you can trust Who is sending it.

Different people live in different time zones, so our “noon” may not be the same. But God's timing is never late.

Hold on. Keep praying. Keep believing. Help is on the way.

God will not fail you. He will not abandon you. He will come through for you.

Reflection
What if the delay you are experiencing is not denial, but the time God is preparing your deliverance?

Hold on to God's Word. Your story is not over.

Prayer
Father, thank You because You hear me when I call. When I am surrounded by difficulties and feel helpless, remind me that You are my Helper. Strengthen my faith to hold on to Your Word and trust Your timing. Send help into every area of my life where I need it. Let shame be replaced with victory and fear with confidence. I believe that You will come through for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
