Settle Christ in your heart

Settle Christ in your heart

"Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you're living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy." (1Pet.3.15 MSB)

Conviction is a missing ingredient in the belief system of most Christians today. But our text employs us to settle it in our hearts, through thick and thin to be at attention in adoration of Christ our Master.

Your heart mustn't waver but steadfast trusting the Lord. James tells us that the person who wavers will not receive anything from God.

"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." (Jas.1.6)

You must stay true to your conviction and not allow situations and circumstances to deter you. The three Hebrew boys demonstrated conviction to us. Even when it was going to cost them their lives, they would not waver.

What are your convictions?

Settle Christ in your heart and be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks you why you live the way you do. And do it with utmost courtesy. If there is no conviction, one is tossed here and there, to and fro. And such a one will not receive from God. Settle Christ in your heart.
