Only Moses approached God

Only Moses approached God 

"Only Moses will approach GOD. The rest are not to come close. And the people are not to climb the mountain at all." (Exod.24.2) 

They all climbed the mountain but "only Moses will approach God." It was not enough to climb the mountain, you need to be able to approach God. The Bible says the others worshipped from a distance 

"They will worship from a distance; only" (Exod.24.1) 

But God does not want us to worship from a distance. He wants us to approach God. The Apostle Paul tells us to come boldly to the throne of GRACE, to walk up right to him... 

"So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help." (Heb.4.16 MSG) 

The blood of Jesus made access to the Father available so we can not only climb the mountain and worship from a distance but that we are able to approach God and take what He also is ready to give. 

Don't come to church and not come to God, don't climb the mountain and not approach God. God wants us to aappraoch Him as we have been accepted in the beloved. 

"To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." (Eph.1.6 KJV)

Daily ration, daily routine  "GOD said to Moses, "I'm going to rain bread down from the skies for you. The people will go out and gather each day's ration. I'm going to test them to see if they'll live according to my Teaching or not. On the sixth day, when they prepare what they have gathered, it will turn out to be twice as much as their daily ration." (Exod.16.4 - 5) What you do daily determine what you become permanently. God had told the children of Israel that he was going set up rules and procedures for them to follow. In this day and age, we would have said structures and systems but rules and procedures communicate the same intentions.  So God says to Moses in response to the complaint against God about not having enough to eat. "Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind. The reason why the Apostle says here that he quiets being a 'law man' but instead became God's man "What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work.
