Rehearse it...

Rehearse it...

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. (Exod.17.14)

We have seen musicians rehearse. And the more they rehearse the better they get but rehearsals do not begin and end with musicians. In fact we have play rehearsal, speech rehearsal and anything one intends to get good at. Rehearse simply means to practice or to go over something.

And in out text God told Moses to write a memorial in a book and then rehearse that book in the ears of Joshua. God told Moses to rehearse the destruction of Amalek in the ears of Joshua.

Why?

Because something you do consistently become a part of you. When you hear something repeatedly, it stays with you.

What are you rehearsing? What are you practicing consistently?

The bible tells us that this book of the law should not depart from our mouth but we should meditate on it day and night and do what is in it, then you will have good success.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Josh.1.8)

The way the Apostle Paul says it is that faith come by hearing and hearing (see Rom. 10.17)

Rehearse God's word to you. ..

Good day,
Have a great day today,
