Climb higher 

"GOD said to Moses, "Climb higher up the mountain and wait there for me; I'll give you tablets of stone, the teachings and commandments that I've written to instruct them." (Exod.24.12) 

Fish is not caught by the sea shore neither is gold found on the surface, to get more out of God, you will need to climb higher. God did not give Moses the tablets of stone at the same level where the other leaders were. He asked him to climb higher. To get more you need to climber higher

In Exodus 24 God had requested for the leaders of Israel to climb the mountain. And Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel claimed the mountain. 

He said to Moses, "Climb the mountain to GOD, you and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. They will worship from a distance; only" (Exod.24.1) 

But when God was to give Moses the tablets of stone, Moses was required to climb higher. It is reminiscent of Jesus asking Peter to lunching out into the deep for a catch. 

"When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." (Luke.5.4 NKJV)

Just like Moses, when Peter obeyed the Master, he didn't come back empty handed. He caught so much fish his nets began to break. 

"But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. (Luke.5.5-6 NKJV)

Do you want more of God in your life, you need to climb higher in God

Daily ration, daily routine  "GOD said to Moses, "I'm going to rain bread down from the skies for you. The people will go out and gather each day's ration. I'm going to test them to see if they'll live according to my Teaching or not. On the sixth day, when they prepare what they have gathered, it will turn out to be twice as much as their daily ration." (Exod.16.4 - 5) What you do daily determine what you become permanently. God had told the children of Israel that he was going set up rules and procedures for them to follow. In this day and age, we would have said structures and systems but rules and procedures communicate the same intentions.  So God says to Moses in response to the complaint against God about not having enough to eat. God says He will rain bread down from the skies but these bread are to be taken by the people on a daily basis and on the sixth day, they will take a double portion. Take only what the day requires. "Law man" or God's man

The law in one sense was a defective reflection of God. It reflected who God is; though not a perfect reflection. The law says don't steal, God does not steal. The law says do not lie, God does not lie, etc. But there was more to God that law could not show or give to us. As a result, God has given us His grace. His grace was not just a reflection of Himself but was God Himself. The law would should you what to do but could not grant you the ability to do it but grace did not just show you, He did it for us. The essence of the law was to satisfy God but grace came and did that on behalf of mankind. The reason why the Apostle says here that he quiets being a 'law man' but instead became God's man "What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work.
