Face-to-face with God

Face-to-face with God

"And GOD spoke with Moses face-to-face, as neighbors speak to one another. When he would return to the camp, his attendant, the young man Joshua, stayed--he didn't leave the Tent." ([Exod.33.11)

God and Moses were very good neighbours. They must have lived next to each other so the Bible describes God speaking to Moses, as neighbours speaking to one another.

The bible says that God speaks with Moses face-to-face. I'm reminded of the verse in Proverbs 27.19 that talks about face answering to face as in water.

"As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man." (Prov.27.19 KJV)

Moses' face began to reflect God's face so that the Bible records that the children of Israel could look into his face and he had veil his face

"When Moses came down from Mount Sinai carrying the two Tablets of The Testimony, he didn't know that the skin of his face glowed because he had been speaking with God. they would see Moses' face, its skin glowing, and then he would again put the veil on his face until he went back in to speak with God." (Exod.34.29, 35)

This was much more than just praying, it was fellowship. It was not a give-me, give-me approach; they were in deep rooted conversation. Conversation that would change the destiny of nations. Sit awhile with God, talk face to face with Him. You do not talk face to face from a distance, it has to close, intimate discussion. One way this can happen is by spending time in the study of His word. Speak to God face to face, fellowship with Him.

Good day,
Have a great day today,
