Remove the affected stones

Remove the affected stones

"He is to order that the stones affected by the fungus be torn out and thrown in a garbage dump outside the city. He is to make sure the entire inside of the house is scraped and the plaster that is removed be taken away to the garbage dump outside the city." (Lev.14.40 - 41)

I believe it was from this passage and the intent of it that Jesus drew the principle that states that if your hand offends you, cut it off. If we are houses then we are made up of stones. I think it was the Apostle Peter that says we are lively stones.

"Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. (1Pet.2.5 KJV)

But our text says if one of the stones that make up the house is affected with fungus that stone should be torn out and be thrown in the garbage. This is how I know it applies to what Jesus taught about plucking off any part that will stop you from entering the kingdom of God.

"And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:" (Mark.9.43)

What is it that will be strong enough to cut you off the kingdom of God? Jesus says it is better one is maimed than having two hands and go to hell.

Joshua talked about stones that were "plucked" out of the river Jordan and some that were to replace those plucked out. (see Jo's.4 3-9,20) It was believed that those stones with which Joshua built a monument were the stones Jesus speaking to the pharesees said that God can raise up stones to sing His praise. You're lively stones, remove any dead weight stopping you. There is so much possibilities within you. Remove the affected stone...

Good day,
Have a great day today,
