Look and live

Look and live

"GOD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it on a flagpole: Whoever is bitten and looks at it will live." (Num.21.8)

The Bible is recorded for us in types and shadows and then substance. We see a type and a shadow then we look to see the substance. Our text records the story of how the children of Israel sinned against God and for punishment, snakes bits them and most of them died. But when they cried to God, God instructed Moses to make a snake and put it on a flagpole and whoever is bitten and looks up at the snake on the flagpole will live.

It did not discriminate. It says whoever looks will be saved. It didn't matter how far gone the person, as long as he looks at it, will be saved.

We see the substance to this account  of type and shadow as recorded in Hebrew 12.2.

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb.12.2 KJV)

All we have to do is look. You may ask, how do we look in this day and age? James answers that for us

"But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." (Jas.1.25 KJV)

If you look intently at the perfect law of liberty, the word of God, which is Jesus Christ you will receive answers to every problem. Look to Jesus now and live

Good day,
Have a great day today,
