Free to Love

Free to Love

"GOD, your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children's hearts, freeing you to love GOD, your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live." (Deut. 30:6)

Love is a choice. We can choose to love or to withhold love. Our anchor scripture tells us that God has freed us to love Him wholeheartedly—and loving God naturally flows into loving people. You cannot truly love God and hate the person beside you.

I once heard that one of the greatest gifts in life is the ability to love, and the second is the grace to receive love. Sometimes we make love sound complicated, but at its core, love is simple—because love is our true nature.

We are the love-children of the love-God,  our Father is Love. Scripture tells us that as His children, we carry His nature. Paul reminds us that “the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts” (Rom. 5:5).

What does this mean? It means God has poured His love into your heart in abundance. There is so much love inside you waiting to be expressed, waiting to bless someone, waiting to heal, uplift, and restore.

"And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given us." (Rom. 5:5 NIV)

So let the love in your heart flow. God has cleansed your heart, removed the hardness, and empowered you to love freely. Don’t hold back. Give love its voice. You have been freed to love—so love.

Reflection

Take a moment today to examine your heart. Are there places where hurt, disappointment, or fear have made it hard to love? Remember that God Himself has removed the barriers and empowered you with His own love. You don’t have to manufacture love—it already lives within you. Your role is simply to release it.

Prayer

Father, thank You for cutting away the hardness from my heart and filling me with Your love. Help me to express this love freely to You and to everyone around me. Heal every wounded place in my heart and let Your love shine through me in my words, actions, and relationships. Teach me to love the way You love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

NB: Thank you all for celebrating with us on our wedding anniversary. God bless you richly.

Have a fruitful day,
