What You Have to Do—Do It Now

What You Have to Do—Do It Now

“Do it now: Allot this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.” (Joshua 13:7)

Sometimes, the only thing standing between us and success is the willingness to act. Not lack of ability. Not lack of time. Just action.

I learned this lesson recently. I had an assignment that felt impossible within the time available. Everything in me wanted to postpone it, but I sensed a gentle prompting in my spirit to at least give it a try. The Holy Spirit reminded me that almost nothing is impossible when we are willing to put in the required work. So I began. I pushed myself even when I felt tired, kept going when I felt drained—and to my amazement, the task was completed.

God gave Joshua an instruction that seemed unreasonable at first. He told him to divide the land among the people while the enemies were still there, promising that He Himself would drive them out. Human logic would suggest clearing the land first before sharing it. But God’s ways often demand faith expressed through action.

As if to remove every excuse for delay, God said, “Do it now.” Act now.

Many people have weakened their passion through inaction, delayed their breakthroughs by waiting endlessly, and slowed their progress by remaining idle. Without action, almost nothing is accomplished. Procrastination is not only the thief of time—it is also the thief of destiny.

If the task feels overwhelming, break it into smaller steps. But whatever you do, act. Start. Move. Do it now.

Reflection
What is that assignment, idea, or calling you keep postponing because it looks difficult or ill-timed? God often releases clarity, strength, and help after we take the first step. Faith is not proven by intention but by obedience in action. Today, choose progress over delay.

Prayer
Lord, I thank You for reminding me that obedience unlocks grace. Deliver me from fear, delay, and procrastination. Give me the strength to act even when the task seems overwhelming. Help me to trust You enough to move when You say move. I receive the courage to do what I must—now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a fruitful day
